How skilled are you in using your strengths? Do you know what yours are? And what about the strengths of others around you? Surprisingly, research shows that only one in three of us recognizes our strengths.

But why identify them in the first place?

Well, you probably want to lead a meaningful life and career, and you probably want the same for those closest to you. Perhaps you want to achieve a sense of well-being through a variety of sources, including the organization you work for or manage.

In this free ’Power Your Worklife with Character Strengths’ webinar we focus on character strengths that have been extensively studied within the positive psychology field. We organized this webinar on June 16th, 2022. Here is a link to the recording for you.

Within organizations, it is often thought that about 80% of the effort we put into development should focus on correcting weaknesses while 20% should be placed on improving strengths. What does science say about this?

There is a large body of research evidence that suggests a conscious approach through strengths greatly benefits both the employee and the organization.

The strengths perspective at work has a positive effect on things like:

  • Commitment to work

  • Job satisfaction

  • General well-being

  • Boosted productivity

  • Goal achievement

This, too, is researched: People who regularly use their own strengths in their work can be six times more likely to feel that they are doing exactly what they do best. Do you feel like you get to do what you do best at work?

In this webinar, we present the most studied character strengths measurement tool in the science of positive psychology, and we tell you about practical ways to utilize your own strengths in working life. In fact, character strengths are one of the first and most researched topics in the field. They are a very integral part of future working life skills.

What would we be together if we recognized, valued, and leveraged more of our own and each other’s strengths? What could we achieve as supervisors, co-workers and teams? How would the meaningful use of strengths affect us – our sense of meaning, self-esteem, resilience, and prosperity?

In the webinar we will tell you how you could harness your strengths and inject those strengths into your work life – whether you're in your current job, looking for a job, studying or even volunteering.
